Kyrgyzstan: Riding the Silk Road at the Edge of the World
Kol-Suu Lake sits deep in the Al-Bashy region of southern Kyrgyzstan, at roughly 3,500 metres above sea level. Formed by an ancient earthquake and known in summer for its startling turquoise waters, Kol-Suu Lake in Kyrgyzstan draws hikers and overlanders during the warmer months.
We went in winter.
Not because it was sensible. Not because it was convenient. But because if you’re going to travel to the edge of the map, you may as well see it stripped bare.

Argentina: Where "It Doesn't Matter" Is Actually Sound Life Advice
By Karen Bridges
Landing in Esquel, Argentina, was the kind of exhilarating that makes you reassess your life choices mid-descent. I assumed this meant I should be grateful to be alive.

AFRICA
THE SAFARI EDIT
With so many horse riding safaris in southern Africa, choosing one can feel overwhelming. But picture this instead: the low hum of cicadas rising from the grasses, the gentle sway of your horse as you move together across endless plains, the air thick with the scent of warm earth and wild sage.
There is never a bad time to ride the Okavango Delta. Water shifts, seasons turn and the whole place changes outfit, so every trip feels like new magic. Rock up when it suits you, ride out from a luxe camp and roll back in for bubble baths with a view while animals graze past your tub. Vehicles get stuck. Horses do not. This is how you savour the Delta.
Instagram who? This is the real thing – wild and untamed. Think giraffe loping alongside you, a blur of zebra stripes squeaking past and the distant rumble of a lion doing its thing.
